Bulk Corporate Gifts in the UAE: Apparel Tiers, MOQs and Branding

How to buy bulk corporate gifts in the UAE for year-end and events: apparel by budget tier, how MOQs really work, the right branding method, and when to order.

By MISHAREN · · 9 min read

Bulk corporate gifts in the UAE work best when you fix three things before you choose a product: the spend per recipient, the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for each design, and the branding method that suits your quantity and fabric. For year-end and event gifting, branded apparel such as T-shirts, polos, hoodies and caps is one of the few gift types people use again and again. Most suppliers start custom apparel orders somewhere between a few dozen and a few hundred pieces per design, so plan your quantities around that.

Below: apparel by budget tier, how MOQs really work, which branding method suits which order, and how to schedule around the November–December peak.

Why apparel belongs in a bulk gift order (and when it doesn't)

Pens and notebooks are cheap per unit, but they are easy to forget. A well-made polo or hoodie gets worn to the office, the gym or the next team event, and your logo goes with it. Apparel also works as both a gift and something staff wear on the day, such as a crew T-shirt for an exhibition stand or a matching polo for a National Day celebration.

Apparel is not always the right call, though:

  • You don't know recipients' sizes. Sending a large T-shirt to a VIP client who wears small doesn't land well. Caps, or a hoodie in a relaxed fit, are safer when sizes are unknown.
  • The deadline is very short. Custom garments need artwork approval, production and quality checks. If the event is days away, choose ready-stock garments with simple branding, or pick a different gift.
  • The audience is very senior or very mixed. A logo-heavy T-shirt can feel promotional. For senior clients, pick a premium garment with a small tonal embroidered logo, or combine apparel with a non-apparel item.

Bulk corporate gifts by budget tier

Set a per-head cap first, then pick the product. Reported UAE planning budgets run at roughly AED 50–200 per employee, AED 100–500 per standard client and AED 300–2,000 per VIP recipient. Treat these as a sense check only and get itemised quotes for your actual brief, because garment choice, branding and packaging move the price a lot.

Tier Typical recipients Apparel options Branding that fits Packaging
Volume / giveaway Event visitors, run or fitness-challenge participants, large staff groups Cotton T-shirt (around 160–180 GSM), basic cap, tote bag One-position screen print or DTF; small embroidered cap logo Polybag with size sticker
Mid / staff appreciation Full workforce, project teams, channel partners Heavier cotton T-shirt (200+ GSM), pique or dri-fit polo, cap Embroidered left-chest logo; a second print position on the back or sleeve Folded with tissue, branded sticker or sleeve
Premium / client and VIP Key clients, senior staff, speakers, board members Fleece or French terry hoodie, premium polo, structured cap, apparel gift set Tonal or 3D embroidery, woven label, discreet placement Rigid gift box, insert card, name personalisation

Your budget mostly goes on five things:

  1. The garment: fabric, GSM, fit, and whether it is a ready blank or cut and sewn to order.
  2. The branding method and positions: each extra logo position adds cost.
  3. Complexity: stitch count for embroidery, or number of colours for screen printing.
  4. Packaging and personalisation: boxes, inserts, individual names.
  5. Delivery: one address, or split across several emirates and offices.

How MOQs work for bulk branded apparel

"MOQ 25 pieces" sounds simple. In practice the minimum applies differently depending on what changes between pieces.

Per design, colour and garment style

The minimum usually applies to each combination of garment style, garment colour and logo artwork. 100 navy polos with one logo is one run. 50 navy and 50 white polos may be two runs, and some suppliers count each colour separately against the MOQ. If you want two colours, ask whether they can share the MOQ.

Sizes normally sit inside the MOQ

A run of 50 T-shirts split across S–XXL normally still counts as one run of 50. Very small quantities in unusual sizes (3XL and above, or fitted women's cuts) may depend on stock, so confirm early.

The branding method changes the economics

  • Screen printing needs a screen for each colour. That setup cost is spread over the run, so it gets cheaper as quantity rises and is costly for small runs with multi-colour logos.
  • Embroidery needs your logo digitised into a stitch file once. After that, each piece is priced mainly by stitch count, so it works across small and large runs.
  • DTF and heat transfer need very little setup and handle full-colour artwork, which makes them practical for short runs, mixed designs and names or numbers.

Cut-and-sew and custom colours need higher quantities

Custom-dyed fabric, bespoke patterns, private-label neck labels and fully custom packaging usually need far higher minimums and longer lead times than branding a ready blank garment. For year-end gifting on a deadline, a quality blank with good branding is usually the practical choice.

MISHAREN takes orders from 25 pieces, and the exact minimum depends on the garment and branding method.

Choosing the branding method for gift apparel

Method Best for Look and feel Durability Watch out for
Embroidery Polos, caps, hoodies, premium gifts Raised, textured, high perceived value Excellent; outlasts the garment in most cases Fine text and tiny details; can feel heavy on thin T-shirts
Screen printing Larger runs of T-shirts and totes with 1–4 colour logos Vivid, solid colour; soft hand with the right ink Very good when cured properly Setup cost per colour; less economical for small runs
DTF / heat transfer Short runs, full-colour or gradient artwork, names Smooth, slightly film-like surface Good with correct application and care Large solid areas feel less breathable in heat
Sublimation Polyester activewear and performance tees Ink becomes part of the fabric; no feel at all Excellent on polyester Only works on light-coloured polyester

For gifting, a common approach is embroidery for anything you want to feel premium (polos, caps, hoodies) and printing for volume T-shirts and event crew wear. Our custom printing service page compares the print methods in more depth.

Picking garments for UAE recipients

T-shirts

A 160–180 GSM combed cotton tee suits giveaways and hot outdoor events. 200–240 GSM heavyweight or oversized tees feel like something you would buy, which suits staff gifts. For outdoor crews, a polyester performance tee stays cooler and dries faster than cotton.

Polo shirts

Pique cotton polos look smart for office staff and client gifts. Dri-fit polos suit field teams, golf days and outdoor activations. A left-chest embroidered logo is the classic choice. Browse fabrics and colours on our polo shirts page.

Hoodies

Hoodies are a strong year-end gift in the UAE. Desert evenings cool down in winter and offices run strong air-conditioning all year. Fleece is warmer; French terry is lighter and better for most of the UAE year. Zip hoodies suit more mixed audiences than pullovers.

Caps

Caps are the safest choice when sizes are unknown. Adjustable caps with embroidery work for event staff, outdoor teams and fitness events, and they combine easily with a T-shirt or bottle in a set.

Sizing a bulk order

  • Collect sizes with a simple form when you can. When you can't, use a size curve weighted to M and L for mixed teams, and check it against your headcount.
  • Offer fitted or women's cuts, and modest options such as longer sleeves or relaxed fits, so every recipient can wear the gift comfortably.
  • Order around 5% spares for late joiners, exchanges and walk-in guests.

Year-end and events calendar: when to order

The UAE's peak gifting and events season runs from late October to mid-December. Key dates for 2026:

Date (2026) Occasion Typical apparel need
31 October – 29 November Dubai Fitness Challenge Team activewear, performance tees, caps
10–12 November Automechanika Dubai (Dubai Exhibition Centre) Stand crew polos and T-shirts
22 November Dubai Run Team T-shirts, caps
23–26 November Big 5 Global and co-located shows (DWTC) Crew uniforms, client giveaways
2–3 December (expected) Eid Al Etihad (UAE National Day) Flag-colour polos, T-shirts, caps, staff gift sets
8–11 December GITEX Global (Dubai Exhibition Centre) Stand crew wear, premium client gifts
Late December Year-end and New Year Staff appreciation hoodies, client gift boxes

Official Eid Al Etihad holiday dates had not been announced at the time of writing, but the holiday usually falls on 2 and 3 December. For flag-themed designs and staff polos, see our UAE National Day corporate gifts guide.

Working back from your deadline

  1. Brief (week 0): recipient groups, quantities, per-head budget, delivery addresses and the date items must arrive.
  2. Quote and mock-up: pick garments and branding, and approve digital mock-ups showing logo size and position.
  3. Sample or pre-production check: essential for premium tiers and new garments, and worth doing even on repeat orders.
  4. Production: branding ready blanks locally is generally the fastest route. Imported or cut-and-sew production takes longer, and freight adds more time.
  5. Packing and labelling: individual packing, name labels and sorting by department or office.
  6. Delivery and buffer: plan to receive goods at least several working days before the event, in case of reprints or size swaps.

Approve artwork early: everyone orders in the same November weeks.

VAT and record-keeping

If your company is VAT-registered, your finance team will want records for each gift. Under UAE VAT guidance, business gifts costing no more than AED 500 per recipient within 12 months are generally outside the deemed supply rule, as long as you keep records of the recipient, date, description and cost. Keep a recipient list with gift values, and check higher-value VIP gifts with your tax adviser before you order.

MISHAREN is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added to its quotations or invoices. Your finance team should note this, because there will be no input VAT to reclaim on that purchase.

Apparel gift sets that work in bulk

  • New-joiner or year-end staff kit: heavyweight T-shirt or polo, cap and bottle, with an embroidered logo on the garment.
  • Event crew kit: two printed T-shirts or dri-fit polos per person (so they can change on multi-day shows) plus a cap.
  • Client appreciation box: French terry hoodie or premium polo with tonal embroidery, presented in a rigid box with a card.

Our corporate gifting range shows how apparel, caps and welcome kits can be combined.

Quick checklist before you request quotes

  • Recipient groups and quantity per group, plus about 5% spares
  • Per-head budget cap for each tier
  • Garment, colour and fabric preference (GSM, cotton or performance)
  • Logo files in vector format (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) and Pantone references
  • Logo positions and approximate sizes
  • Size breakdown, or permission to use a standard size curve
  • Packaging and personalisation requirements
  • Delivery addresses across emirates and the latest acceptable arrival date
  • Who signs off artwork, and how quickly

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Choosing on unit price alone. A thin T-shirt that shrinks after one wash costs your brand more than a slightly dearer one that gets worn for years.
  • Oversized logos on premium gifts. Small, well-placed embroidery looks more valuable.
  • Too many variants. Every extra colour or design can push you below the MOQ or raise the unit price.
  • Skipping the mock-up sign-off. Most reprints come from logo size or position nobody checked.
  • Forgetting split deliveries. Sorting cartons by office or emirate at the packing stage saves days of internal handling.

FAQs 5 questions

Questions about this topic.

Can I mix T-shirts, polos and hoodies in one bulk gift order?

Yes. Each garment style is usually treated as its own production run, so each one has to meet its own minimum. Using the same logo artwork across all styles keeps setup costs down. You pay for embroidery digitising once, and the same screens or print files can often be reused.

Is embroidery or printing better for client gifts?

For client and VIP gifts, embroidery usually comes across as more premium and lasts longer, especially on polos, hoodies and caps. Printing suits lightweight T-shirts, large artwork and full-colour designs, which is why it is more common for event and volume giveaways.

How do I collect sizes from hundreds of employees for a gift order?

Use a short online form with a size chart in centimetres attached, and give a firm deadline. Fill any gaps with a size curve weighted to M and L, and order around 5% spares. If a size swap is likely, ask the supplier whether spare blanks can be branded later.

Can gifts be delivered to several offices across different emirates?

Yes. Many suppliers can pack and label cartons by office, department or recipient and deliver to more than one address. Include the full address list and the latest acceptable arrival date for each location in your quotation request, because split deliveries affect both packing time and cost.

What logo file do I need for embroidery or printing?

A vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) with Pantone colour references is ideal for every method. High-resolution PNG files can work for DTF, but vector artwork gives the cleanest embroidery digitising and screen separations.
