UAE National Day Corporate Gifts 2026: Branded Apparel Guide
Eid Al Etihad 2026 falls on Wednesday 2 December. Branded T-shirts, polos, caps and hoodies by budget, plus what you can realistically still order in November.
Eid Al Etihad 2026 is the UAE's 55th National Day, and it falls on Wednesday 2 December. That means most companies will hand out gifts on Monday 30 November or Tuesday 1 December. Ordering in November still works for branded apparel and accessories: stock T-shirts, polos, caps, hoodies and tote bags, decorated locally with DTF print, screen print or embroidery. Anything that needs custom fabric colours, cut-and-sew production or sea freight should wait until next year.
Key dates for Eid Al Etihad 2026
- 2 December (Wednesday): Eid Al Etihad. Khaleej Times expects the public holiday on 2 and 3 December (Wednesday and Thursday). As of mid-October the official dates had not been announced. With the weekend straight after, many staff will take a long break from 2 to 6 December.
- Your real deadline is earlier. If the office closes from Wednesday, staff gifts need to be in hand by Monday 30 November at the latest. Tuesday 1 December is often the day of the office celebration itself.
- Flag Day comes earlier in November. It was held on 3 November in 2025. If you want branded items for both occasions, those orders need to be placed now.
- The 2026 theme. The 55th Eid Al Etihad visual identity was revealed on 8 October, starting a 55-day countdown. It falls in the UAE's Year of Family and presents the country as a "family of families", drawing on Emirati homes, traditions and family photo albums. That gives you a design idea that doesn't rely on the flag.
Why apparel works as a National Day gift
Most UAE National Day gift guides focus on hampers, desk sets and engraved items, which often end up in a drawer. Apparel gets used:
- People wear it on the day. Staff tend to wear National Day T-shirts, polos and caps to the office celebration, so your gift becomes part of the event and shows up in the photos.
- It lasts beyond December. A good polo or hoodie still gets worn in January.
- It suits UAE winter. December evenings are cooler, especially in the desert, mountains and at outdoor venues. Hoodies, sweatshirts and caps make sense for camping trips and outdoor team events.
Branded apparel and accessory ideas by budget
We have left out exact prices because they shift with quantity, garment quality and branding method. The levels below are relative: each one up costs more per person and needs more lead time.
| Budget level | What to give | Best branding method | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Entry (giveaways, large groups) | Printed cotton T-shirt or printed cap | DTF or screen print | Events, schools, community activations, large workforces | Very thin T-shirts (under about 150 GSM) look cheap and go see-through in white |
| Mid (staff gifts) | Polo or performance T-shirt plus embroidered cap | Embroidery on the polo chest and cap front; print for larger artwork | Office teams, retail and hospitality staff, site teams | Collecting sizes takes time; start now |
| Upper-mid (team and client mix) | Hoodie or sweatshirt plus cap, packed together | Embroidery or DTF on the hoodie; embroidered cap | Outdoor events, desert team days, key accounts | Heavy fleece is overkill for daytime events indoors |
| Premium (VIP clients, leadership) | Premium pique polo or heavyweight T-shirt, cap and tote in a gift box with a card | Tonal or 3D embroidery; neat finishing | Client gifts, partner thank-yous | Custom boxes and printed packaging need extra time; plain premium boxes with a printed sleeve or card are safer in November |
Fabric and weight guidance
- Cotton T-shirts: about 160–180 GSM is the sweet spot for comfort and print quality. Heavyweight 220 GSM and above feels premium but runs warm for daytime outdoor events.
- Performance T-shirts: polyester or poly blends at around 140–160 GSM suit daytime outdoor celebrations, sports days and staff working outside.
- Polos: cotton or cotton-blend pique at around 200–220 GSM for office staff. Dri-fit polos suit field, retail and event teams who are on their feet.
- Hoodies: fleece or French terry, usually about 280–330 GSM. French terry is the better choice for UAE winter evenings because it is warm without being heavy.
- Caps: cotton twill baseball caps take embroidery best; mesh-back trucker caps suit outdoor giveaways.
Colour choices
Red, green, white and black, the colours of the flag, are the obvious palette. White or black garments with a multi-colour National Day design printed on them are the easiest to source in November. Red and green garments are often in stock, but the exact shade varies between suppliers, so ask to see a photo of the actual stock before you approve. A sand or off-white garment with the "family" theme in Arabic calligraphy stands out and stays wearable after December.
What you can still order in November (and what you can't)
From early November, it comes down to stock. If the garment is already in the UAE and only needs decorating, you have a good chance of making the deadline. If anything has to be made, dyed or shipped, you probably won't. One ranking UAE gift supplier advises ordering custom-branded National Day items by mid-October, quoting six to eight weeks from artwork approval. That is fair for imported or fully custom goods, not for stock apparel decorated locally.
| Item | Realistic in November? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Printed T-shirts on stock garments | Yes, if you confirm by mid-November | DTF suits short runs and multi-colour designs; screen printing is economical for larger runs with few colours |
| Embroidered polos (stock colours) | Yes, best confirmed early November | Embroidery machine time fills up before National Day; logo digitising adds a step |
| Embroidered or printed caps (stock) | Yes | Front embroidery is the classic choice; see our caps range for styles |
| Hoodies and sweatshirts (stock) | Yes, early November | Check stock levels by size before you approve the design |
| Printed tote bags | Yes | Good add-on for gift sets |
| Garments in custom-dyed colours | No | Needs fabric dyeing and production |
| Custom cut-and-sew, woven neck labels, custom trims | No | Plan these for 2027 or for a year-round uniform programme |
| Custom-printed gift boxes | Risky | Use plain boxes with a branded sleeve, sticker or card instead |
| Anything shipped by sea from overseas | No | Air freight may be possible, but it costs more and adds customs risk |
Picking a branding method under time pressure
- DTF (direct-to-film) transfer: the fastest option for small and medium runs and full-colour artwork with gradients. No screens to set up. Good on cotton and polyester. The hand feel is slightly heavier than screen print.
- Screen printing: the best cost per piece at volume and very durable, but each colour needs its own screen, so multi-colour designs cost more to set up.
- Embroidery: the most premium look for polos, caps and hoodies. Keep designs simple, as fine detail and small text don't stitch well, and approve the digitising first.
Our custom printing page compares these methods.
Example November timeline
This timeline works back from a Monday 30 November handover. Real lead times depend on quantity, stock and how busy decorators are, so treat it as a planning guide, not a promise.
- By Friday 6 November: confirm the budget level, quantities, garment and colour. Start collecting sizes. Send your logo as vector artwork (AI, EPS or PDF).
- Week of 9 November: approve the digital mock-up, embroidery digitising and stock availability. Make any changes in this week.
- 9–20 November: decoration and production. Larger embroidery orders need the full window.
- 23–26 November: quality check, folding, bagging and packing kits (adding cards and boxes).
- 26–29 November: delivery to each site. For deliveries across several emirates, share addresses and contacts upfront.
- Monday 30 November: hand out to staff, ready for a 1 December celebration.
After mid-November, keep it simple: one garment, one colour, one print position, or caps and totes, which don't need sizes.
Designing within the UAE flag rules
Many National Day gift catalogues include flag scarves and flag-print items. Before you add your company logo next to the flag, read the rules. Khaleej Times' summary of the UAE flag rules says:
- no emblem, logo or decorated edges may be added to the flag
- the flag cannot be used for commercial purposes, as a trademark, or in advertising and publicity
- the flag should not be used for decoration or costumes, or printed on disposable materials
- the flag's proportions, size, shape and colours must not be changed
Serious disrespect towards the flag is a criminal offence under Federal Decree-Law No. 13 of 2019.
In practice, the safest branded designs do not combine your logo with the flag. These work better:
- The national colours used as stripes, colour blocks or a pattern, with no flag shape.
- Arabic or English text: "Eid Al Etihad 55", "55", or a line about family and belonging that fits the 2026 theme.
- A small, tasteful company logo on the sleeve, back neck or cap side, not merged into the National Day artwork.
If you want to use the official Eid Al Etihad logo, follow that year's brand guidelines. The 2025 guidelines, which also applied to businesses, said not to recolour, stretch, distort or rotate the logo. Check the current version, and if your legal or communications team has doubts, use a design inspired by the theme instead.

Sizing and quantities
- Collect sizes early, or avoid needing them. Late size lists are the most common reason orders run late. Use a short form with a size chart and a firm deadline, or choose caps, totes or relaxed-fit T-shirts.
- Order a few spares in the middle sizes (M, L, XL) for new joiners, swaps and visiting guests.
- Check minimum order quantities for each design. Splitting 60 pieces across three colours and two designs can push each version below the minimum.
- Include care instructions. A small card saying "wash inside out, cold, no tumble dry" keeps prints and embroidery looking good for longer.
Supplier briefing checklist
Include all of this in your first message to get faster quotes you can compare:
- Quantity per item, and the delivery date you need it in hand
- Garment type, preferred fabric or GSM, and colour
- Logo files in vector format, plus any National Day artwork
- Branding positions (left chest, back, sleeve, cap front) and method preference
- Size breakdown, or a note that you need one-size items
- Packaging: individual bags, gift boxes, cards, kitting
- Delivery addresses by emirate and receiving contact names
- Budget level per person
